Do Good Oscar Moments

There were quite a few "do good" moments during the Oscars Sunday night. Sustainable fashion, donations to charity and of course many celebrities using their moment in the spotlight to bring awareness to causes close to their hearts.

1. Sophie Turner wears sustainable fashion on the Red Carpet:

The 20-year-old Game of Thrones star wore a sustainable gown to the awards event.

Sophie attended in support of Red Carpet Green Dress, a campaign that encourages designers to use socially responsible fabrics in their red carpet creations.

2. Abraham Attah wore Toms at the Oscars

Abraham Attah, from the film Beasts of No Nation, wore Toms during his Red Carpet appearance. The company is donating 10,000 pairs of shoes to Ghana, Abraham's home country.

3. Maria Menounos' dress raised awareness for water.org

The E! anchor has partnered with Stella Artois, Christian Siriano, and Water.org on a gown to raise awareness and funds for the organization’s “Buy a Lady a Drink” campaign. With 663 million people around the world today lacking access to clean water, the team hopes to shed light on the global water crisis—all while lending some social consciousness to the old “Who are you wearing?” question.

4. Last but not least... Leonardo DiCaprio's Acceptance Speech

Leonardo DiCaprio used his moment on stage to bring awareness to climate change.

"Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed."
